Update: 17-year-old located after running away 2 months ago

Update at 3:56 p.m. Nov. 19: Hawai‘i Island police reported the afternoon of Nov. 19 that 17-year-old Momi Leonard was located Nov. 15 in Puna and is in good health.

She was previously reported as a runaway and was gone for about 2 months before being located at the end of last week.

Original post at 10:23 a.m. Oct. 24: Big Island police are looking for a runaway 17-year-old girl who hasn’t been seen for more than a month and want to know if anyone has seen her.

Momi Leonard last seen at about 10 p.m. Sept. 14. on Waiānuenue Avenue in Hilo.

She is 5-foot-1, 145 pounds and local, with a medium build, medium brown complexion, long black/brown hair and hazel eyes.

She was last seen wearing a long-sleeve black shirt and pajama pants with “cup-noodle” designs.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call the Hawai’i Police Department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.
