Hawai‘i Island police seeking Hilo runaway Justine Kawaa

Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 14-year-old Justine Kawaa, who is reported as a runaway.

She was last seen in Hilo, in the Keaukaha area of Kalanianaole Avenue, on Sept. 16 at around 3:30 p.m.  

She is described as local, 5-feet 1-inches tall, 145 pounds, slim build, light tan complexion, mid-back length brown hair with blonde streaks, and brown eyes. It is unknown what she was last wearing.

Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the island-wide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers is a volunteer program run by ordinary citizens who want to keep their community safe. Crime Stoppers does not record calls or subscribe to any caller ID service.
