Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures from Sept. 7 to Sept. 13.
All projects are weather permitting.

1) KEAAU TO KURTISTOWN
Single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) possible in either direction, between mile post 7 to 10, in the vicinity of Old Volcano Road and Hale Pule Loop, on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.
2) KURTISTOWN TO MOUNTAIN VIEW
Single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) possible in either direction, between mile post 9 to 13, in the vicinity of North Road and Enos Road, on Monday, Sept. 9 through Friday, Sept. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

1) HILO
Single lane closure on Kalanianaole Street (Route 19) possible in either direction, between mile post 0 to 0.6, in the vicinity of Kuhio Street and Banyan Way, on Monday, Sept. 9 through Friday, Sept. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for work on a broken waterline.
2) HILO
Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between mile post 2 to 4, in the vicinity of Pauahi Street and Wainaku Street, on Monday, Sept. 9 through Friday, Sept. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.
3) PAPAIKOU
Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between mile post 7 to 7.5, in the vicinity of Old Mamalahoa Highway and Kalaoa Camp Road, on Monday, Sept. 9 through Friday, Sept. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for tree trimming.
4) NINOLE
Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between mile post 18 to 19, in the vicinity of Old Mamalahoa Highway, on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.
5) KAMUELA
Shoulder closure on Kawaihae Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between mile post 58 to 59, in the vicinity of Kohala Mountain Road, on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting and shoulder work.
