PATH to hold group rides in Kona & Hilo; participants will receive free HIBIKE Sprinter memberships
PATH – People for Active Transportation Hawai‘i – is the recipient of a People for Bikes Better Bike Share mini-grant.
The grant was awarded for PATH to hold group rides using the HIBIKE bike share system to make people aware of the ease of use of the bikes, the locations of the new stations, the system’s partnership with Mass Transit Agency and to promote clean transportation options.
The program is in partnership with the Hawai‘i Island Community Health Center.
The first group ride will be in Kona at the West Hawai‘i Civic Center HIBIKE station on Sept. 28 at 9 a.m. and in Hilo at the Bayfront Trail HIBIKE station on Oct. 12 at 9 a.m.
The rides will be limited to the first 30 registrants for each location and participants will receive a free HIBIKE Sprinter membership for the month.
