Pauahi Street in Hilo temporarily closed through this week

Pauahi Street in Hilo, between Aupuni Street and Kamehameha Avenue, is temporarily closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily through the end of this week for the installation of upstream bridge planks.

Motorists should use Ponahawai Street as an alternative route to and from Kīlauea Avenue during the closure period.

Hawai‘i County Department of Public Works project developments and potential changes to traffic patterns can be online.
