Hawaiʻi Island police are renewing their request for the public’s help locating an elderly man from Volcano.

Seventy-four-year-old William Hammett was last seen walking in the Fern Forest Subdivision in Volcano at the end of May 2024. He is considered an endangered missing person due to his age.

Hammett has a light complexion, is 5 feet 9 inches tall, about 175 pounds, with medium-length white hair, a white beard and blue eyes.
