Hawai‘i Island police seek public help finding teenaged boy

Hawai’i Island police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 16-year-old boy who was reported as a runaway.

Ohia Letreta was last seen in the area of the Kea‘au-Pāhoa Road on Wednesday. He is known to frequent the Puna district.

Letreta is of local ethnicity with a light complexion, medium build, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 120 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the island-wide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
