Military convoys will be traveling from Pōhakuloa Training Area to Kawaihae on the Big Island. The four separate daily convoys from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. began Wednesday and will continue throught June 10.

Motorists are encouraged to plan their travel accordingly.

Convoy leaders will continually assess conditions and conduct pull-overs on permissible straight-aways sections of the road to allow motorists to pass the convoy and reduce backed up traffic.

This training is critical to ensure service members are ready to accomplish their mission and return home safely.
