Spencer Park at ʻŌhai‘ula Beach was closed Monday and will reopen at 7 a.m. May 18.

The closure is to give Hawaiʻi County Department of Parks and Recreation crews time to clean up debris from the heavy rain and flooding that happened during the weekend.

Camping and pavilion permits are canceled during the closure.
