U.S. Army Garrison-Pōhakuloa is notifying the public about upcoming military convoys planned that will travel from Kawaihae Harbor to Pōhakuloa Training Area on the Big Island.

Four separate convoys are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from May 4-7.

Convoy leaders will continually assess conditions and conduct pull-over procedures on permissible straightaways to allow local residents to pass the convoy and reduce backed up traffic.

This training is critical to ensure military units and service members are ready to complete their missions and return home safely.
