Update: Missing Kealakekua man located

Update at 4:39 p.m. Feb. 14: Big Island police report that 53-year-old Roger Tolar of Kealakekua, who was previously reported missing, was located Wednesday in good health in Kailua-Kona.

Original post: Hawai‘i Island police seek the public’s help in finding a man reported missing on Feb. 9.

Roger Tolar, 53, was last seen at 9 a.m. on Māmalahoa Highway in the Kealakekua area. Tolar has a medical condition that requires medication.

Tolar is Caucasian/Hawaiian, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 200 pounds. He has short brown hair, brown eyes, and a fair complexion.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or police dispatch at 808-935-3311.
