Big Island Now poll no. 33: What is the best Halloween candy?
Halloween marks the start of the holiday season, which is filled with parties, family gatherings, and of course, good food and desserts.
On Oct. 31, it’s all about the sour sweets and fun-size candy bars. Dressed in costume, children go door-to-door or trunk-to-trunk at Trunk-or-Treats to fill their Jack-o’-lantern-shaped buckets or pillowcases with as much candy as they can before they go home for the night with their spoils.
According to CandyStore.com, a website where one can buy candy in bulk, the favorite candy nationwide is Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. In Hawai‘i, the data reveals Hershey’s Mini Bars as the most popular candy, with Skittles coming second and Butterfinger at third.
