Hawaiʻi Police Department’s Kona Community Policing Section will host its 3rd annual Fill a Police Cruiser Food Drive where they hope to load up a blue and white marked police vehicle with non-perishable foods on Sept. 1.

The food drive will take place at the Kona Costco, located at 73-5600 Maiau St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Due to recent fires on Maui, the food collected will not only go to Hawaiʻi Food Basket but the Maui Food Bank as well. Monetary donations to Maui are also encouraged.

Those bringing non-perishable food items to place in the cruiser will get to take a photo with the officers.
