Police seek Big Island 18-year-old wanted in connection with assault investigation

Big Island police are asking for the public’s assistance with finding 18-year-old Luis Villalobos of Hilo, who is wanted on an outstanding warrant in connection with a third-degree assault investigation.

Villalobos is 5-foot-6, 130 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair. He is known to frequent the Hilo and Puna districts.

The investigation stems from a reported assault at a high school party the evening of April 22 at a residence on Akolea Road in Hilo. The juvenile male victim was assaulted by three males and sustained multiple bruises and abrasions on his face and head.

Villalobos was positively identified as a suspect in this investigation.
