Big Island police looking for missing Kona man

Keona Taniguchi

Big Island police are seeking 19-year-old Keona Taniguchi of Kona, who was reported missing Aug. 11 by his family, and they are asking for the public’s help.

Taniguchi is 5-foot-6, 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tribal tattoo on his left shoulder and left hand. He was last seen Aug. 7 in the Pāhoa area and is known to frequent the Kona area.

Anyone with information about Taniguchi’s location is asked to call the Hawai‘i Police Department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 808-961-8300.
