Hawai‘i Island police seek public help finding 17-year-old boy

Shayne Padilla

Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 17-year-old Shayne Padilla who was reported as a runaway.

Padilla was last seen in the area of a shopping center in the 15-2700 block of Pāhoa Village Road in Pāhoa, on July 15 at 2 p.m. wearing a black shirt, gray sweat pants and brown slides/slippers.

He is described as having a slim build and light complexion, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 130 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and pierced ears.

Padilla is known to operate a black, 2000 Honda Civic 2-door sedan, with Hawai‘i license plate HKX-297.

Police ask anyone who may have any information on Padilla’s whereabouts to contact the department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.
