Hawaiian Telcom promotes Jamie Kawamoto to vice president – brand marketing

Hawaiian Telcom has promoted veteran marketing executive Jamie Kawamoto to vice president – brand marketing.

“Jamie is driving the transformation of Hawaiian Telcom’s brand perception to match the fiber technology company we are today,” said Su Shin, President and General Manager of Hawaiian Telcom.

Last year alone Hawaiian Telcom invested over $160 million in private capital to further expand its statewide fiber network, increase its network capacity, and support communications and technology solutions for customers. Approximately 268,000 locations in Hawai‘i have access to Hawaiian Telcom’s 100% fiber internet service Fioptics with the fastest upload speed in the state of 500 megabits per second (Mbps) and ultra-fast one gigabit download speed.

In her new role, Kawamoto’s responsibilities include brand strategy, retail marketing, sponsorships & brand activations, social media, and market research for Hawaiian Telcom and its parent company altafiber.

Kawamoto has been with Hawaiian Telcom for the past decade. She previously served as Executive Director – Marketing Communications, and was responsible for advertising, acquisition and loyalty marketing, website content, public relations, and internal communications.
