It’s that time of year again when people are gearing up for their summer vacations.
While the Big Island and the rest of Hawai’i are popular choices for those who live on the mainland or elsewhere in the world, where do those of us who live in paradise go for a change of scenery and some culture or adventure?
No place is close, unless you are checking out another Hawaiian Island. But the Big island is situated directly between the mainland United States and Asia, making trips to Asia more attractive because there are not the super long flight times.
