Hawaiʻi Island police have located 28-year-old Shanice Ogata-Staudinger who was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant in connection to an assault investigation.

On Wednesday, May 17 just before 8 p.m., Puna Patrol officers responded to the Puna Kai Shopping Center in Pāhoa on a tip from the public regarding the location of Ogata-Staudinger. Upon arrival, she was located in a blue colored Toyota Camry where she was arrested without incident.

Ogata-Staudinger was charged with:

  • Second Degree Assault
  • Abuse Family Household Member
  • First Degree Terroristic Threatening

Ogata-Staudinger was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear. Her bail for all offenses was set at $16,000. During her initial court appearance Thursday, District Court Judge M. Kanani Laubach found probable cause for the 28-year-old to remain detained.
