Free webinar about supporting Hawaiʻi food producers on May 5
A free informational webinar, “Saving Time & Sourcing Local: Buying Local with Food Hubs,” will be shown on May 5.
The webinar was developed by the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority in partnership with the Hawai‘i Food Hub Hui. Local food buyers will discuss how food hubs work, the benefits of partnership, common pitfalls and tips for success.
The webinar will be facilitated by Dr. Saleh Azizi, coordinator of the Hawai‘i Food Hub Hui.
The panelists: Peter Abarcar, executive chef at Mauna Kea Resort on the Big Island; Dan Robayo, chef de cuisine at Kohanaiki Beach House on the Big Island; Khalifa Garnaj, executive sous chef at 1 Hotel on Kaua‘i.
