Update: Big Island police report that 12-year-old Jsteyn Villanueva-Santos was located in Hilo in good health. Police thank the public for its assistance.

Original story: Big Island police are asking for help with locating a 12-year-old boy who’s been missing since this morning.

The Hawai‘i Police Department reports that Jsteyn Villanueva-Santos was last seen at 7 a.m. Saturday, April 29, on Ainaola Drive in Hilo wearing a black jacket, red basketball shorts and black shoes. He is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Jsteyn was initially reported as a runaway, but because of his age he is considered endangered.

Anyone with information that can assist in helping safely locate him is asked to call 9-1-1 or contact police dispatch at 808-935-3311.
