Big Island Personal Tours, a new e-bike business in the Hilo Shopping Center, will hold its grand opening on May 1.

The company will offer e-bike rentals, sales and tours (guided and self-guided).

“Our company aims to provide a one-of-a-kind experience for our clients, showcasing the beauty of Hawai‘i Island,” said Pedro Werneck, sales and marketing manager.

Big Island Personal Tours’ employees interview their clients to help create a personalized experience before they arrive to the island.

The company touts its stock of electric-powered bikes and other recreational equipment as environmentally friendly.

“We believe that responsible travel is key to preserving Hawai‘i Island’s natural beauty for
generations to come,” said Frank Commendador, owner of Big Island Personal Tours, a
long-time kama‘aina businessman of more than 22 years on Hawai‘i Island. “We want to provide a happy and respectful union with locals and visitors alike.”
