The West Hawai‘i Dance Theatre is presenting “Rikki Tikki Tavi” Ballet with an opening act that highlights the dance theatre’s students and teaching artists in a variety of offerings including the Spanish flavored classic ballet, “Paquita.”

Newly choreographed by Timour Bourtasenkov, “Rikki Tikki Tavi” is an original family-friendly story ballet based on Rudyard Kipling’s classic book, with music by Alfred Schnittke.

Displaying great courage and loyalty, little mongoose Rikki stands steadfast in the face of danger from two slithering cobras, Nag and Nagaina, to protect his adopted family.
