Updated on April 24, 2023: Hawaiʻi Island police report that missing 16-year-old Daniel Soares was located in good health on April 23, 2023.

Original post: Hawaiʻi Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Daniel Soares who was reported as a runaway.

Soares was last seen on Sunday in Volcano wearing a black jeans, a black colored jacket and white shoes.

He is described as having a light complexion, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone who may have information about Soares’ whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311 or contact Officer Spencer Thomas of Puna Patrol at 808-965-2716.
