It may be mid April, but it’s snowing at the Big Island summits

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the Big Island summits until 6 p.m. on Thursday.
Periods of freezing rain mixed with light snow will continue through Thursday afternoon. Snow
accumulation of about one inch and icy conditions are expected.
Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving.
