Mayor Mitch Roth announced today that information technology director, Scott Uehara, has accepted a position within the Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense Administration to focus on emergency communications systems. He will begin his new position on May 1.

“Our administration would like to thank Scott for his service as I.T. Director and looks forward to continued work together in his new role,” Roth said.

Uehara has held the position since December 2020 and will assist Mayor Roth in the search for his replacement. There is no named interim director at this time.
