Fire at Hawaiian Ocean View Estates destroys large family home; occupants evacuated

Occupants had to evacuate an approximately 3,000-square-foot, multi-level family residence at Hawaiian Ocean View Estates on Tuesday morning due to a fire.
All Hawaiʻi Fire Department units in the area responded around 9 a.m. to find the house at 92-9017 Bamboo Lane fully involved. It took the 17 fire fighters until 12:30 p.m. to completely put out the fire.
There were no injuries, according to the fire department press release.

The loss was valued at $525,000. The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
