Updated on March 17: Hawai’i Island police found Clarkson on March 16 in good health.

Original post: Big Island police are asking for the public’s help with locating a missing Captain Cook man who has a medical condition that requires medication.

The Hawai‘i Police Department reports that 59-year-old Jeffrey Clarkson was last seen at 11 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, at his residence in the 84-6100 block of D Road. He was wearing a dark V-neck T-shirt, blue jeans and blue Croc shoes. Clarkson is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 215 to 220 pounds, with short black and white hair, a short grey beard and brown eyes.

Anyone with information regarding Clarkson’s whereabouts is asked to call the Police Department non-emergency line at 808-935-3311 or contact lead investigator Officer Kaneala Abaya at 808-326-4646 ext. 253.
