Stephen Hicks was named new general manager of Keauhou Shopping Center in Kona.

Keauhou Shopping Center has named Stephen Hicks as its new general manager.

Hicks brings more than 17 years of leadership experience to continue perpetuating the  heritage and vibrance of this gathering place for the Keauhou community.  

As the general manager, Hicks will lead operations for the Kamehameha Schools-owned shopping center located on 22.9 acres of ‘āina overlooking Keauhou Bay.

Encompassing 178,792 square feet of retail space, this open-air center features a collection of 40 local, national and one-of-a-kind stores, restaurants and service providers. Tenants include KTA Super Stores, Bianelli’s Pizza, Kona Stories and Ali‘i Health Center.  

“I am excited to join the Keauhou Shopping Center ‘ohana as we look to continue to provide the best  shopping experience for our tenants and guests,” Hicks said. “Being a longtime West Hawai‘i resident, it  is an honor to have the kuleana of stewarding these lands and property in support of the Keauhou  community.” 

Hicks is an active member of the Kona Rotary Club, an eight-time Ironman Triathlon competitor and has been a Kona resident for 40 years with his wife and three children.
