Officials remind public of upcoming convoys and hunts at Pōhakuloa Training Area

Officials at Pōhakuloa Training Area are reminding the public of upcoming scheduled convoys as well as archery mammal hunting on the base.

Convoys from Pōhakuloa to the Kawaihae dock will take place Feb. 23-26 throughout the day. Convoys with more than five vehicles will not move during peak traffic times. Motorists are advised to use caution around the convoys and not weave in-out of traffic.

Additionally, the archery mammal hunts will take place on Feb. 25 from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the KMA 1, 2 and 3. This hunt will not be administered using the lottery system and standard harvest limits apply. Reservations open the day before the hunt at 6 p.m. Email [email protected] to make a reservation.
