Swell Summary

No significant northwest swells are expected during the next 7 days, with only small surf expected along north and west facing shores. East shore surf will build today as east-southeast winds strengthen. A High Surf Advisory remains in effect from 6 AM this morning until 6 PM Saturday, and this advisory may need to be extended through the middle of next week as winds over and upstream of the islands will continue to support large and rough surf.

Surf: Chest to head high ESE wind swell with occasional slightly overhead high sets.

Conditions: Choppy/sideshore current with SSE winds 20-25mph in the morning shifting SE for the afternoon.

NORTH WEST

Surf: Minimal (ankle high or less) surf.

Conditions: Fairly clean in the morning with S winds 5-10mph. Glassy conditions for the afternoon with the winds shifting WSW less than 5mph.

WEST

Surf: Knee high S short period wind swell in the morning builds a bit for the afternoon.

ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW AD

Conditions: Bumpy/semi bumpy in the morning with SSW winds 10-15mph. Semi glassy/semi bumpy conditions for the afternoon as the winds lighten to less than 5mph. Clean conditions are expected by late afternoon with E winds 5-10mph.

SOUTH EAST

Surf: Waist to chest high E short period wind swell for the morning. The swell shifts more SE and builds for the afternoon with sets up to slightly overhead high.

Conditions: Choppy with SSE winds 15-20mph in the morning shifting SE 20-25mph in the afternoon.
