Hawai‘i Police seek public help finding runaway teen

Shaelynn Gomes

Hawai‘i Island police report that 16-year-old Shaelynn K. Gomes of Hilo, who was previously reported as a runaway, was located in good health on Feb. 11.

However, Gomes ran away again later that same day. She was last seen in the 1700 block of Kino‘ole Street in Hilo around 6 p.m. on Saturday wearing a grey top, teal sweatpants, and carrying a large camouflage bag.

Gomes is described as Hawaiian/Puerto Rican with a tan complexion and medium build, 5 feet tall, 120 pounds, with shaved bald brown hair and hazel eyes.
