Update: Missing 12-year-old boy found in good health

Update at 3 p.m. Feb. 11: Big Island police reported Saturday afternoon that 12-year-old Keanu Moniz was located in good health in Hilo.

Original story: The Hawai‘i Police Department is asking for help from the public with finding a 12-year-old boy who was reported as a runaway but because of his age is considered endangered.

Keanu Moniz was last seen at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, on Kino‘ole Street in Hilo, wearing a red shirt and brown shorts. He is described as 5 feet, 1 inch tall, weighing 119 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information that can assist in helping safely locate Keanu is asked to call 9-1-1 or contact police dispatch at 808-935-3311.
