Updated on Feb. 13: Cara Miguel was found in good health in Pāhoa on Feb. 9 in good health.

Original post: Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 14-year-old Cara Miguel who has been reported as a runaway.

Miguel was last seen in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision area in Kea‘au on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 10 p.m. wearing a green shirt, gray shorts and a black backpack.

Miguel is described as having a fair complexion, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 150 pounds, with mid-length brown hair and brown eyes. She also has a scar under her right eye.

Police ask anyone who may have information on her whereabouts to contact the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
