Update: Big Island police report that 52-year-old Roger Tolar, who was previously reported missing and endangered, has been located in Kona in good health. The Hawai‘i Police Department thanks the public for its assistance. 

Original story: The Hawai‘i Police Department is asking if anyone has seen an endangered Hilo man who was reported missing and is need of medication because of a medical condition.

Police say 52-year-old Roger Tolar was last seen at 4 a.m. Feb. 3 in the area of Nani Place in Hilo. Tolar is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, part-Hawaiian, with gray hair, brown eyes and a tan complexion. He was last seen wearing an unknown colored shirt, blue jeans and dark-colored shoes.

Anyone with information about Tolar’s whereabouts is asked to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311 and ask for Officer Robert Kamau. Those who prefer to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 808-961-8300.

If you or anyone you know locates Tolar, call 9-1-1 immediately.
