The Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation announces weekly lane closures for Jan. 7-13. Lane closure schedules can change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (HIGHWAY 11) —

1) MOUNTAIN VIEW (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Volcano Road (Highway 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 16 and 20, in the vicinity of N. Peck Road to S. Glenwood Road, on Saturday, Jan. 7, and Sunday, Jan. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

2) MOUNTAIN VIEW

Single lane closure on Volcano Road (Highway 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 16 and 18, in the vicinity of N. Peck Road to Mauna Loa Drive, on Monday, Jan. 9, through Friday, Jan. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

3) HAWAIʻI VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK TO PĀHALA

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Highway 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 30 and 51.3, from the vicinity of Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park to Kamani Street, on Monday, Jan. 9, through Friday, Jan. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for installation of cables on existing utility poles.

4) NORTH OF PĀHALA

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Highway 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 42 and 45, on Monday, Jan. 9, through Friday, Jan. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

5) HONUʻAPO TO NĀʻĀLEHU

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Highway 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 59 and 61, vicinity of Whittington Beach Park, on Monday, Jan. 9, through Friday, Jan. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

6) HONUʻAPO TO NĀʻĀLEHU (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Highway 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 60 and 63, vicinity of Whittington Beach Park to vicinity of ‘Ōhai Road, on Saturday, Jan. 7, and Sunday, Jan. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

7) CAPTAIN COOK TO KEALAKEKUA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Highway 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 110 and 113, vicinity of Nāpōʻopoʻo Road and Tide Lane, on Saturday, Jan. 7, and Sunday, Jan. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for vegetation cutting

Single lane closure on Kuakini Highway (Highway 11) possible in either direction in the vicinity of mile marker 114, near West Honalo Road, on Monday, Jan. 9, through Friday, Jan. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for Kuakini Drainage Improvements.

— HAWAIʻI BELT ROAD (HIGHWAY 19) —

1) PĀPAʻIKOU TO PEPEʻEKEO (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawaiʻi Belt Road (Highway 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 8 and 11, vicinity of Hanawi Street and Old Māmalahoa Highway (near Makea Stream), on Saturday, Jan. 7, and Sunday, Jan. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for vegetation cutting

2) PEPEʻEKEO

Single lane closure on Hawaiʻi Belt Road (Highway 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 11 and 13, vicinity of Old Māmalahoa Highway (near Makea Stream) and Honomū Road, on Monday, Jan. 9, through Friday Jan. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for vegetation cutting

3) LAUPĀHOEHOE

Single lane closure on Hawaiʻi Belt Road (Highway 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 23 and 28, Kapehu Road to vicinity of Stevens Road, on Monday, Jan. 9, through Friday, Jan. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for paving.

— QUEEN KAʻAHUMANU HIGHWAY (HIGHWAY 19) —

1) KOHALA TO WAIKŌLOA

Single lane closure on Queen Kaʻahumanu Highway (Highway 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 67 and 71, in the vicinity of Kawaihae Road and Hāpuna Beach Road, Monday, Jan. 9, through Friday, Jan. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for vegetation cutting and removal.

2) WAIKŌLOA

Single lane closure on Queen Kaʻahumanu Highway (Highway 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 69 and 71, in the vicinity of Hoʻohana Street and Hāpuna Beach Road, Saturday, Jan. 7, and Sunday, Jan. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for tree clearing with excavator.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (HIGHWAY 190) —

1) WAIMEA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Highway 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 0 and 2, Lindsey Road to vicinity of Waimea-Kohala Airport Road, on Saturday, Jan. 7 and Sunday, Jan. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for pothole patching.

2) WAIMEA

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Highway 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 2 and 5, vicinity of Waimea-Kohala Airport Road and the Saddle Road junction, on Monday, Jan. 9, through Friday, Jan. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

— DANIEL K. INOUYE HIGHWAY/SADDLE ROAD (HIGHWAY 200) —

1) SADDLE ROAD (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Saddle Road (Highway 200) possible in either direction between mile markers 28 and 29, on Saturday, Jan. 7, and Sunday, Jan. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for shoulder stabilization along Maunakea Access Road.
