A Hilo man is facing charges of sexual assault after a domestic incident on Monday night.

Thirty-three-year-old Jason King Hall was officially charged with with two counts of abuse family household member, first-degree sexual assault, and second-degree unlawful imprisonment. Charges stem from an incident in Hilo when Hawaii police officers responded to the Hilo Medical Center after a woman went to the Emergency Room stating she had been sexually assaulted.

According to police, the 27-year-old female victim reported being involved in a verbal argument with Hall that escalated to where Hall placed his hands around her neck, impeding her ability to breathe.
