Public help sought finding 2 runaway teens

Authorities seek the public’s help locating two teen runaways.

Fifteen-year-old Maiya Mattos-Eblacas was last seen on the 500 block of Waianuenue Avenue Street on Nov. 21. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black sweat pants, and slippers.

Maiya is described as Caucasian with a slim build, about 5 feet 2 inches tall, 120 pounds, with brown straight hair and hazel eyes. She also has a small scar on her right cheek.

Fifteen-year-old German Castillo was last seen leaving a juvenile housing facility in Captain Cook on Aug. 14. He is described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall, 140 pounds, with dark brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo on his left upper chest of a backward letter “C.”

Anyone with information on either of the teens’ whereabouts is asked to call Hawai‘i Police Departments non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.
