Hawai’i Island police searching for 17-year-old from Hilo

Hawai‘i Island police are searching for 17-year-old Ashley Tavares of Hilo, who was reported as a runaway.

Tavares was last seen in Honomū during the evening hours of Nov. 21, 2022.

She is described as local, 5 feet 4 inches tall, 150 pounds, with long brown and blond and brown eyes. Tavares has a tattoo of a rose on her left shoulder blade. 

Police ask anyone with information on Tavares’ whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.
