Four UH-Hilo men’s soccer players named to CSC Academic All-District Team

Several University of Hawai‘i at Hilo men’s soccer players nabbed post-season academic honors.

Four Vulcans were named to the 2022 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Men’s Soccer Team, honoring the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Brady O’Neill, Wataru Muto, John Grover and Tom Vorkastner achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher while being major contributors to the UH-Hilo men’s soccer team’s performance.

Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early December.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must have been a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale and completed one full calendar year at their current institution.
