UPDATE: Highway 11 in Captain Cook has reopened after being closed while firefighters put out a structure fire.

ORIGINAL POST: A structure fire near Konawaena School Road has closed Highway 11 between Ke’e Ke’e Steet and Onouli Road in Captain Cook.

Traffic will be detoured for the next several hours, according to the Hawaiʻi Police Department.
