Hilo’s Pink Out Color Run this weekend to support Breast cancer awareness

The American Cancer Society’s fifth annual 5K Pink Out Color run is coming up this Saturday.

In partnership with Pacific Media Group’s KBIG-FM, the race will take place in Hilo at the Civic/Ho’olulu Complex. Registration is at 7 a.m. and the run starts at 8 a.m. Cost to register for the event is $35.

Motorists can expect road closures on Kuawa to Manono to Kalanikoa Streets from 8:30-10 a.m. Following the race, there will be a Zumbathon.

Additionally, there will be a Pink Out costume contest with a first-place prize of $50. The annual Beautiful Bra Contest will also be held — decorate a bra for a chance to win an overnight at the Westin Hapuna Beach Resort.

There will also be a mini health fair with various entities providing education and supplies including Ohana Health Plan with Self-Breast exam cards and the Department of Health will be there to provide education on COVID-19 and free home test kits. Hawaii Radiological Associates and United Healthcare will also be at the fair.
