The Pahala Post Office reopens for business after damages sustained during an earthquake a week ago forced them to close the retail lobby.

Some of the lobby’s interior light fixtures need to be repaired following the 5.0 magnitude tumbler. Before reopening the Pahala Post Office, USPS leadership conducted a thorough assessment of the facility to ensure that it was safe for its employees and customers.

“We want to thank our customers for their patience and flexibility during our temporary closure,” said Pahala Postmaster Gina Gomes. “We are excited and happy to be able to reopen our facility and resume full service to the Pahala community.”
