Gary Silva-Evangelista

Authorities seek the public’s help locating a Pāhoa man who was reported missing.

According to Hawai’i police, 31-year-old Gary Silva-Evangelista has not been heard from since 2019. He is known to frequent the Hilo and Puna areas.

Silva-Evangelista is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds and having black hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the Department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 808-961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
