No injuries were reported after a two-story home in Kona was destroyed in a blaze Friday night.

Hawai‘i Fire Department responded the fire, located on the 76-6000 block of Kupuna Street at 8:23 p.m. When they arrived on scene, flames and heavy smoke were visible and the 2,150-foot structure was fully involved.

Firefighters worked to protect the exposures and extinguish the fire. Flames were confined to the home. A BIN reader submitted video of the blaze to Big Island Now, which shows flames and smoke rising high into the night sky.
