Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announces lane closures for Aug. 27 to Sept. 2. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

NĀ‘ĀLEHU

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 65 and 67, Ka‘alualu Road to vicinity of Ailani Orchards, on Monday, Aug. 29, through Friday, Sept. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass mowing/trimming.

CAPTAIN COOK

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 108 and 110, Government Main Road and Captain Cook Village Road, on Monday, Aug. 29, through Friday, Sept. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder stabilization and vegetation control.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway/Queen Kaahumanu Highway (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 67 and 69, vicinity of Hapuna Beach Road and Kawaihae Road, on Saturday, Aug. 27, and Sunday, Aug. 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for vegetation cutting.

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 41 and 43, Kahawai Road and Plumeria Street, on Saturday, Aug. 27, and Sunday, Aug. 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for tree trimming and mowing with sidearm.

HONOKA‘A

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 44 and 46, vicinity of Kapuna Road, on Monday, Aug. 29, through Friday, Sept. 2, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree mulching and mowing with sidearm.

WAIMEA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 53 and 55, Kauakea Road and Kakanihia Road, on Saturday, Aug. 27, and Sunday, Aug. 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for tree trimming and vegetation cutting.

— KALANIANAOLE AVENUE (ROUTE 19) —

Single lane closure on Kalanianaole Avenue (Route 19) possible in either direction between Kamehameha Avenue and Kuhio Street, nightly from 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, through 5 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, for the Kalanianaole Avenue Reconstruction. Single lane closure on Kea‘au-Pāhoa Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile marker 8 and 10, Ainaloa Drive and Niaulani Street, Monday, Aug. 29, through Friday, Sept. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder work and mechanical mowing.

PĀHOA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Pāhoa-Kalapana Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile marker 10 and 13, Niaulani Street and Makoi Road, Saturday, Aug. 27, and Sunday, Aug. 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for vegetation cutting.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 190) —

WAIKŌLOA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 9.7 and 12.2, vicinity of Waikōloa Road, for resurfacing. Work on Saturday, August 27, and Sunday, August 28, will be from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Work on Monday, Aug. 29, through Friday, Sept. 2, will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

— AKONI PULE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 270) —

KOHALA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) possible in either direction between mile markers 10 and 15, Kaiholena Place and vicinity of Honoipu-Pu‘uhue Road, Saturday, Aug. 27, and Sunday, Aug. 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for shoulder restoration.

Single lane closure on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) possible in either direction between mile markers 15 and 17, vicinity of Honoipu-Puuhue Road and Coast Guard Road, on Monday, Aug. 29, through Friday, Sept. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping maintenance, tree trimming, and shoulder work.
