The County of Hawai‘i Department of Parks and Recreation regrets to inform the public that Spencer Park at ‘Ōhai‘ula will be temporarily closed beginning Aug. 24, due to a new water line leak. If emergency repairs are successful, the park may reopen by Friday, Aug. 26. On Aug. 16, a repair to the water line was completed; however, another rupture was discovered today requiring this additional repair.

The Department sincerely appreciates the community’s patience and understanding as we work to fix this issue. The public will be informed as repairs progress.
