The state Department of Transportation issued its weekly list of road and lane closes for Aug. 20-26. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

1) NĀ‘ĀLEHU (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 68 and 69.5, vicinity of 68 Mile Road and Lorenzo Drive, on Saturday, August 20, and Sunday, August 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for vegetation cutting with side arm.

3) CAPTAIN COOK

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 110 and 113, Napo‘opo‘o Road and Tide Lane, on Monday, August 22, through Friday, August 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for tree trimming and vegetation control.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY/QUEEN KA‘AHUMANU HIGHWAY (ROUTE 19) —

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway/Queen Ka‘ahumanu Highway (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 67 and 69, vicinity of Hapuna Beach Road and Kawaihae Road, on Monday, August 22, through Friday, August 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for vegetation cutting.

— HAWAI‘I BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

1) PAPAIKOU

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 4 and 8, Kulana Kea Drive and Hanawi Street, on Monday, August 22, through Friday, August 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for vegetation control.

2) HAKALAU (24/7 RESTRICTION)

ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW AD

Nanue Bridge at mile marker 14.27 on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) is weight restricted to 12 tons (24,000 lbs.) until further notice.

3) HAKALAU

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 14.2 and 14.3, vicinity of Kolekole Stream, on Monday, August 22, through Friday, August 26, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for bridge work.

4) HONOKA‘A (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 41 and 42, Kahawai Road and Loke Street, on Saturday, August 20, and Sunday, August 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for tree mulching and mowing with side arm.

5) HONOKA‘A

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 41 and 43, Kahawai Road and Plumeria Street, on Monday, August 22, through Friday, August 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for tree trimming and mowing with side arm.

6) WAIMEA

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 53 and 55, Kauakea Road and Kakanihia Road, on Monday, August 22, through Friday, August 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for tree trimming and vegetation cutting.

— KALANIANA‘OLE AVENUE (ROUTE 19) —

1) KEAUKAHA (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kalaniana‘ole Avenue (Route 19) possible in either direction between Kamehameha Avenue and Kūhiō Street, nightly from 7 p.m. Monday, August 22, through 5 a.m. Thursday, August 25, for the Kalaniana‘ole Avenue Reconstruction.

— KEA‘AU-PĀHOA ROAD/ PĀHOA-KALAPANA ROAD (ROUTE 130) —

1) HAWAIIAN PARADISE PARK (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Kea‘au-Pāhoa Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile marker 4.5 and 6, 29th Avenue and Orchidland Drive, Saturday, August 20, and Sunday, August 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for shoulder work and rear unit mowing.

2) PĀHOA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Pāhoa-Kalapana Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile marker 10 and 13, Niaulani Street and Makoi Road, Saturday, August 20, through Friday, August 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for vegetation cutting.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 190) —

1) WAIKŌLOA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 9.7 and 12.2, vicinity of Waikōloa Road, on Saturday, August 20, through Friday, August 26, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for resurfacing.

— ‘AKAKA FALLS ROAD (ROUTE 220) —

1) ‘AKAKA FALLS (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on ‘Akaka Falls Road (Route 220) possible in either direction between mile markers 0 and 2, intersection with Highway 19 and No. 5 Bridge Road, on Saturday, August 20, and Sunday, August 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for vegetation control with side arm unit.

— ‘AKONI PULE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 270) —

1) KOHALA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on ‘Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) possible in either direction between mile markers 10 and 15, Kaiholena Place and vicinity of Honoipu-Pu‘uhue Road, Saturday, August 20, through Friday, August 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for tree trimming and vegetation cutting.
