The state Department of Transportation issued its weekly list of road and lane closures for Aug. 6-12. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

1) NĀ‘ĀLEHU (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 60 and 63.5, vicinity of Niu Street, Saturday, Aug. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for mowing with side arm.

3) CAPTAIN COOK (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 107 and 110, Rabbit Hill Road and Napoopoo Road, on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for tree trimming and vegetation control.

4) CAPTAIN COOK

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 104 and 110, Rabbit Hill Road and Nāpō‘opo‘o Road, on Monday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for mowing and shoulder work.

1) PAPAIKOU

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 6 and 6.5, Ka‘aukai Place and Silverton Camp Mill Road, on Monday, Aug. 8, through Wednesday, Aug. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for tree trimming.

2) HAKALAU (24/7 RESTRICTION)

Nanue Bridge at mile marker 14.27 on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) is weight restricted to 12 tons (24,000 lbs.) until further notice.

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 23 and 28, vicinity of Kapehu Stream Bridge to Kaawalii Gulch, on Saturday, Aug. 6, through Friday, Aug. 12, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for surveying work.

4) ‘Ō‘ŌKALA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 30 and 31, vicinity of ‘Ō‘ōkala Road and Niupea Homestead Road, Saturday, Aug. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for mowing with side arm and mulching.

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 44 and 45, vicinity of Lower Homestead Road, on Monday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for mulching and mowing with side arm.

1) KEAUKAHA (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kalaniana‘ole Avenue (Route 19) possible in either direction between Kamehameha Avenue and Kūhiō Street, nightly from 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, through 5 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, for the Kalaniana‘ole Avenue Reconstruction.

— KEA‘AU-PĀHOA ROAD/ PĀHOA-KALAPANA ROAD (ROUTE 130) —

1) KEAAU (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Kea‘au-Pāhoa Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile marker 2 and 4, vicinity of Opukahala Street and Old Government Road, on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

2) KEA‘AU

Single lane closure on Kea‘au-Pāhoa Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile marker 2 and 3, vicinity of Opukahala Street, Monday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for shoulder work and rear unit mowing.

3) PĀHOA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Pāhoa-Kalapana Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile marker 7 and 10, Auli‘i Street and Niaulani Street, Monday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

— OLD KEA‘AU-PĀHOA ROAD (ROUTE 139) —

1) KEA‘AU (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Old Kea‘au-Pāhoa Road (Route 139) possible in either direction between mile marker 0 and 1.2, Volcano Road to Kea‘au-Pāhoa Road, on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for vegetation control and shoulder work.
