The state Judiciary will soon be sending out its annual juror questionnaire.

The questionnaires will start arriving in mailboxes throughout the islands early next month. They will be mailed to people with a Hawai’i driver’s license or who are registered to vote in the state.

Beginning Aug. 1, a total of 245,000 juror questionnaires will be mailed, including 75,000 on the Big Island. The questionnaires are used to help select potential jurors who could be eligible to serve in 2023. Individuals are selected at random.

Anyone receiving a questionnaire has 10 days to complete and return it to the Jury Pool Office in the envelope provided. Those who fail to respond could face a penalty.
